These 28 gauge pre-enameled tiles are thin enough to be cut and shaped. The backsides have a black base coat and the front sides a white or black cover coat. These are very useful as a base for painted enamels, Sgraffito, enamel sample tiles, foil techniques and other enameling techniques needing only a thin coat of enamel. Heavy layers of enamel are apt to crack on these boards.

This 24K foil stays bright when fired.
Palladium leaf turns iridescent turquoise and/or purple when fired with sufficient oxygen in the the kiln. Don 't overcoat it with enamel or you will lose the colors. Silver leaf may look ghost like in single layers, double it for a more pronounced effect. Gold leaf tends to break apart into interesting crackle patterns. It comes in loose (#2509-4) and in "patent" form (#2509-4P) in which the sheets are adhered to a wax paper backing for ease in handling.
